Established in 1978, Pragati embarked on its journey with cutting-edge products like Copy Turning Attachments, Copy Milling Valves, and Chucking Cylinders. In 1990, we revolutionized the market with our flagship Bi-Directional Tool Turrets (BTP), which have since become an essential component of CNC machines worldwide. With over 45,000 BTP turrets produced, including 16,000 working globally, our products are the trusted choice in leading markets across Europe, Asia, and America.
At the core of Pragati’s success is a dedication to constant innovation. Our in-house R&D and advanced manufacturing facilities enable us to deliver products that set new benchmarks in precision and durability. Today, our portfolio includes a wide range of tool turrets, from hydraulic and servo to power turrets, along with related components such as Tool Discs and Tool Holders.
Pragati’s production capabilities span three manufacturing plants in India and a cutting-edge facility in Jiaxing, China. Founded in 1978 by visionaries Mr. A.V. Sathe and Mr. P.D. Kulkarni, Pragati Automation Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Pragati Engineering Works) began with a bold dream—to produce world-class machine tools in India. What began as a modest initiative has flourished over the years, evolving into a leading force in the Indian machine tool industry. Today, with a team of 450 dedicated professionals and four state-of-the-art manufacturing units, Pragati has become synonymous with precision, reliability, and innovation.
